Jamestown Yacht Basin — August 2018

If you have any experience living near bodies of water, you know that, more times than not, as the sun sets, the breeze drops and the water calms — a period of time to be enjoyed. Throughout the area there are many places, along the James and York Rivers and lakes and ponds, to take in the waning light and the quieting waters. Just off the Colonial Parkway towards Jamestown Island, and right behind where I took this picture, is the Billsburg Brewery at the Jamestown Yacht Basin. It is just one of the many places to park your car, enjoy a beverage with a friend or two, and watch the currents as the day comes to a close.
